This section describes the special workloads that you can download and add to the default workloads already contained within the Login VSI product.

==Storage Workload==
The Login VSI Storage Workload is a type of workload designed to test and benchmark storage systems, using real applications and data, but strongly reduces the VDI infrastructure requirements for large-scale tests typically needed for a default Login VSI workload test. On a high level, this workload still looks at user experience, but instead of looking at the overall user experience it looks at storage specific metrics. The workload still runs metrics that are specific to the overall experience but the weight we put on those is lower compared to the default workloads.

This workload was radically modified to test the storage sub-system in the following ways:

*CPU-only intensive operations are removed in favor of IO-intensive operations
*Browse and edit sections are removed or minimized, as they have no specific impact on disk I/O
*Loops every 16 minutes instead of the typical 48 minutes

At the end of each loop, after all Apps are closed, the Login VSI Memory Eater consumes maximum memory for a couple of seconds (105% of available memory). This clears any applications that are still cached in the Windows memory. The next time these Apps are started in a new loop, it will generate the same read I/O as if the application was started for the first time.

==Multimedia Workload==
The Login VSI Multimedia Workload is a type of workload designed to really stress the CPU when using software graphics acceleration. GPU-accelerated computing offloads the most compute-intensive sections of an application to the GPU while the CPU processes the remaining code. Use this workload to test and benchmark just how much of a boost your users will experience when working with an environment that utilizes a graphics processing unit (GPU) compared to an environment without one.

This modified workload uses the following applications for its GPU/CPU-intensive operations:

*Adobe Acrobat
*Google Chrome
*Google Earth
*MS Excel
*HTML 5 3D Spinning Balls
*Internet Explorer
*MP3
*MS Outlook
*MS PowerPoint 
*MS Word
*Streaming video
