Restoring a Login AM environment
While creating a backup the Login AM Updater will create zip files of the previous version in the Backups folder on the Login AM share.
This allows you to restore the Login AM software to the previous version using the Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features dialog.
Alternatively you can start the appwiz.cpl from the start menu.
The above depicted dialog show that we have performed an update, version 2.4.89.1 on the following components;
Automation Machine 2015 - dev
Automation Machine 2015 - Environment Manager
Automation Machine 2015 - Template environment
On the Automation Machine share following files will appear in the Backups folder:
AMRollback.exe - The rollback executable
Environment Manager.zip - Backup of the Environment manager
00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001.zip - Backup of the Template environment
Depending on your choice, while updating and creating backups, the folder also may contain a backup op the last version of one or multiple environments, for example:
4ad9aa29-0fdb-4f1d-af29-3801404cff20.zip Backup of environment - dev
Restoring a backup
In order to restore a backup the specific environment should be selected from the Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features dialog.
From here, select the desired environment to restore and click on Uninstall/Change to proceed.
Click on Next the restore will commence and progress bar will appear.
The rollback has been completed, the dev environment has been reverted.
