IIS configuration

IIS

A webserver is required to access the websites that Login VSI uses during the workload. The webserver used is not important, as long as it can handle standard HTML pages.

IIS on Windows Server 2012

Open the Server Manager and click on Add Roles to add the Internet Information Services role

Click on Next to continue.

Select the Web Server (IIS) role and click next.

Click on next to continue

Keep the default Role Services selected and click on Next to continue.

Click on Install to start the installation.

Click on Close to close the Add Roles Wizard.


Open the IIS management console and browse to the default website. Open the Manage Web Site > Advanced Settings menu.

Point the physical path to the location where the Login VSI websites are stored.


Click OK to close the advanced setting dialog.

Do not forget adding the MP4 mime type in IIS. Please see link, only add MP4 http://forums.asp.net/t/1470612.aspx?How+to+enable+IIS+to+play+MP4+files
